Chaffey Joint Union High School District – Phases 1 & 2

Project Summary

Phases 1 & 2 of the solar generation project for Chaffey Joint Union High School District total 8.72 MW of solar parking canopy structures, spread across ten campuses, impacting over 25,000 students. The venture is an agreement among Exelon Corporation, PsomasFMG and Constellation Energy Resources, LLC who will be the owner and operator of the systems. The solar project required no upfront capital from the school district. The school district will purchase the electricity generated by the system through a 25-year power purchase agreement with Constellation realizing a savings of $40 million over 25 years. Rosendin worked collaboratively with the developer to save significant time and money for the build schedule while ensuring the time frame of the project coincided with school events avoiding conflicts with school activities.
