Rosendin Rosendin

Mission Viejo, CA

Saddleback Valley USD

Project Summary

Winner of the 2016 NECA Orange County Chapter Award for Electrical Excellence, Rosendin delivered design-build services for canopy mounted solar power systems at four (4) school sites and two (2) district sites, in support of the Saddleback Valley Unified School District’s sustainability efforts. Solar panels were installed on carport canopies, and solar shade structures were installed over the lunch areas. This contract is the first school project built by Rosendin that required the use of emergency natural gas generators as an uninterrupted power supply. The installation of the 4.65 megawatts system required working adjacent to active school operations without interrupting the daily functions on the school sites.
