Charlotte Douglas International Airport

Project Summary

Destination CLT is a multi-billion dollar investment program to renovate and expand the Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Rosendin has provided electrical contractor services for three separate phases of the Destination CLT initiative so far; Concourse A expansion and renovation and Concourse B renovation. To date, the improvements to the airport include nine gates, high ceilings, natural light, terrazzo flooring and sustainable, high-tech windows. New traveler amenities include seating with wireless charging armrests and local craft beer; other key upgrades involve heating and air conditioning systems, electrical, fire alarm and sprinkler systems. The restrooms received new sinks, touchless faucets, and soap dispensers as well as counters, mirrors and tile finishes. A new Flight Information Display System was installed in addition to a new user-friendly Wi-Fi system. When all of the renovations are completed, Charlotte Douglas International Airport will be transformed into a bright, innovative, customer-focused destination.
