Project Summary

The new state-of-the-art Hall of Science building at American University is three-stories with 95,000 Gross Floor Area (GFA). The new building relocates the university’s biology, environmental sciences, chemistry, and neuroscience departments to one modern, centralized location. The purpose of the design was to foster collaboration across various disciplines through shared space and research laboratories and the building includes multiple classrooms, a vivarium, and faculty office space. The Hall of Science building is designed to achieve LEED gold certification.
