Project Summary

Verizon’s Annapolis Junction Mobile Switching Station was expanded to provide additional space for two (2) new Uninterrupted Power Source areas serving a new network equipment room. The building expansion was provided in accordance with current Standards in switching center design. The existing administrative space was renovated to accommodate an Alternate Current (“AC”) power room, an air conditioning power room, vendor telco room, mechanical room, and network equipment room. The existing control room was expanded to provide additional space for switch tech work stations. A security fence was installed at the north side of the building to secure the generators and mechanical yard. On the east side of the building, security systems were installed to control site access for employee and visitor parking.
