Crafton Hills College
Project Summary
The solar farm at Crafton Hills College was completed in five months by Rosendin Electric in 2012. The system was made up of modules containing reflective optics that concentrated sunlight 650 times into solar cells, allowing for greater efficiency over other power plants. The solar farm was constructed under the California Solar Initiative and the projected annual output partially satisfied electricity consumption at the college. Southern California Edison presented the college with a check for $1.83 million to be paid over five years as part of their solar initiative.
