Electrical contractor Rosendin will explore the challenges of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the construction industry for its new podcast series called Construction DEI Talks. Rosendin partners with Granite (NYSE:GVA), one of the country’s largest diversified construction and construction materials companies, to produce discussion topics that question common practices, educate listeners, and shift the industry’s culture to be welcoming to everyone.

Construction DEI Talks launched its first episode on October 21 with co-hosts Stephanie Roldan, Rosendin Director of Lean Culture; Jorge Quezada, Granite Vice President of Inclusive Diversity; and Aby Combs, Granite Inclusive Diversity Business Partner.

“Our shows are uniquely focused on tackling challenges in construction so we can demonstrate how discrimination and inequities hold our industry back. However, we are also providing new perspectives and solutions for company leaders who want to do better,” said Stephanie Roldan, Rosendin Director of Lean Culture. “Listeners will learn how to identify bias, empower individuals, and create inclusive workplaces where everyone feels physically and psychologically safe.”

Guests will include company leaders, DEI professionals, and construction industry visionaries. The first show welcomed Rosendin CEO Mike Greenawalt and Granite President and CEO, Kyle Larkin.

“The construction industry has been slow to correct inequities. As leaders in the industry, we feel it is our responsibility to drive conversations that may seem uncomfortable but are necessary to ensure we are valuing workers and doing our part to advance the industry,” said Rosendin CEO Mike Greenawalt.

Rosendin is committed to creating inclusive work environments, and as a proud sponsor of AGC’s Culture of Care, it has a zero-tolerance for hateful speech and actions of any kind. Greenawalt also took the CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion pledge to develop and promote leadership opportunities for women and minorities, and Rosendin’s 2022 Leadership Academy reflects that promise.

Construction DEI Talks is a monthly series available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and all major podcast platforms.
