San Jose, CA (April 30, 2021) – As the industry prepares to host Construction Safety Week, May 3-7, Rosendin is proud to recognize its teams for earning 11 prestigious safety awards from the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA). The association’s elite program honored Rosendin for safety excellence and maintaining OSHA recordable injury rates that are lower than the industry average.

NECA presented the 2021 Recognition of Achievement of Zero Injury to four Rosendin teams that worked a full calendar year without any recordable incidents in Aiea, HI; Charlotte, NC; Grapevine, TX; and San Jose, CA.

NECA also awarded the Recognition of Achievement in Safety Excellence to seven Rosendin teams, including: Aiea, HI; Anaheim, CA; Charlotte, NC; Grapevine, TX; Hanover, MD; Prineville, OR; and San Jose, CA. With 11 safety awards, Rosendin was among the top winners of 2021, matching last year’s impressive performance.

“These awards are the direct result of the hard work and dedication shown by Rosendin team members, and we thank them for staying safe and focused during a very challenging year,” said Marty Rouse, VP of Safety at Rosendin. “Rosendin is committed to building a strong safety culture on every job site every day of the week, and we are grateful to have our efforts recognized by such an esteemed association as NECA.”

Rosendin will recognize Construction Safety Week 2021 with important reminders and discussions about staying physically and mentally present. These events will be held at job sites and offices across the country to empower employees to identify safety hazards, protect one another, and thank everyone for doing their part to build strong workplaces.

This year’s Safety Week coincides with OSHA’s 8th annual National Stand-Down To Prevent Falls in Construction awareness campaign, also held May 3-7. To help industry workers understand the dangers of a fall, Rosendin will re-release its popular 2020 Rosendin Labs safety video, “Fall Prevention & Testing the Human Limits.” The 27-minute science video uses ballistic-style dummies to demonstrate the impact a fall from 12-feet and 20-feet can have on the human body.

Rosendin is the nation’s largest employee-owned electrical contracting company with offices across the U.S. that design and build heavy commercial, high-tech industrial, and renewable energy projects. The teams who were recognized by NECA are building data centers, corporate headquarters, educational facilities, and what will soon be the largest solar facility in Texas.

NECA is the leading voice of the $170 billion electrical construction industry that works with over 70,000 electrical contracting firms to provide education and training, safety resources, business development, advocacy, labor relations, and more. Rosendin is a proud supporter of NECA and promotes a diverse and inclusive workforce for skilled and unskilled workers interested in construction, engineering, technology, office management, and other career paths.
