Anaheim Convention Center Grand Plaza

Project Summary

The Anaheim Convention Center Grand Plaza project transformed a busy thoroughfare into a 2.3-acre outdoor multi-use convention and meeting area utilized year-round for a variety of events. The renovation of this urban space into a pedestrian mall included the relocation of underground utilities while providing power outlets for vendors and outdoor exhibits, three (3) new water features, specialized decorative concrete paving, and installation of over 300 LED, DMX controlled in-ground light fixtures. The 600-foot-long “River of Light” can be programmed with custom lighting designs and features the fountain luminaries, pedestrian poles, linear lighting under the benches that flank the plaza and the floodlights. The entire installation, covering over 150,000 square feet, is lit with less than 16,000 watts of light, or just over 0.1 watts per square foot.
