It was a full house Thursday night at the City National Grove of Anaheim, where hundreds of employees and their bosses gathered to fete Orange Countyās Top Workplaces.
The 11th annual program honored 140 local companies and organizations.

The large company winner was Experian in Costa Mesa. The midsize winner was Moulton Niguel Water District, followed by the small company winner, SetSchedule of Irvine.
The eventās keynote speaker was Shola Richards, an author known for his kindness and moniker āBrother Teresa,ā a nod to the Nobel Peace Prize-winning Roman Catholic nun and missionary.
āIf you want to go fast, go alone,ā he said. āBut if you want to go far, go together.ā
The annual program celebrates Orange County companies, organizations and nonprofits that embrace an inclusive workplace culture that elevates each employee.
Starting in June, the Register nominations from firms and organizations, as long as they had at least 35 employees in the county. Participants could be public, private, nonprofit or governmental.
Survey partner Energage of Philadelphia invited 1,274 employers in the county to take the free employee survey. In all, 196 organizations employing 40,564 people in the county agreed to participate. Of those employees who received questionnaires, 24,187 responded, either on paper or online.
The Top Workplaces 2018 list of winners includes 15 large companies (those with 500 or more employees in the county), 45 medium-sized companies or organizations (100-499 workers) and 80 small businesses (35-99 employees).
