Rosendin

Tennessee electrical workers brought holiday joy to a neighborhood in Gallatin by lighting up the night sky with a beacon of hope. A volunteer team led by Rosendin, the nation’s largest employee-owned electrical contracting company, built a 12×12 foot star, covered it in lights, and erected it on top of Gallatin Shalom Zone, a multi-resource community center housing ten social service agencies in suburban Nashville.

“We are proud to give this gift of light to Gallatin Shalom Zone to showcase the great work they are doing in the community and make everyone’s holidays just a little bit brighter” said Tullie Louder, Division Manager, Rosendin. “We hope it serves as a beacon of hope to families in need of the services provided by the Gallatin Shalom Zone, as well as those in the community who have the means to give back.”

Rosendin electrical workers and welders spent 30 hours building the steel frame and covering it with LED programmable lights, courtesy of Kelvix Lighting. They installed the giant star onto the nonprofit’s rooftop, with assistance from Porter Roofing, just in time for the December 12^th lighting ceremony with live music, community members, and leaders from Gallatin Shalom Zone.

“This star has been a dream of ours for over a year and we are so grateful for this partnership with the team at Rosendin that continues to bless our community in big and small ways,” said Bethany Sullivan, Executive Director, Gallatin Shalom Zone.

The Gallatin Shalom Zone is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that operates programs serving children, teens, and families, while also offering a library, computer lab, and public space. Programs include an After School Enrichment Program, Urban Leadership Experience, BotBall Coding and Robotics, Hygiene Pantry, Adult Education, and English as a Second Language, among others.

In November, Rosendin and The Rosendin Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded to make a positive impact on communities through financial grants and volunteer work, presented Gallatin Shalom Zone with a $25,000 donation. Rosendin employees also donated to the group’s Toys for Tots collection drive and worked with 100 skilled trade volunteers to renovate the nonprofit’s building with new cabinets, blinds, paint, and faucets, as well as upgrades to the landscaping and starting a community garden.

The Rosendin Foundation is the charitable arm of Rosendin Holdings, the parent company of Rosendin, one of the nation’s largest design-build specialty electrical contractors, and Modular Power Solutions (MPS), an offsite manufacturing solutions provider.
