Rosendin's Charlotte team records zero safety incidents in 2020

Charlotte, NC (March 11, 2021) – Rosendin, the nation’s largest employee-owned electrical contracting company, is proud to recognize Charlotte workers for an incredible safety record last year.

Rosendin’s office and field teams in Charlotte worked 257,769 hours in 2020 and recorded zero restricted cases, zero recordable cases, and zero lost workdays. All that adds up to a zero-point-zero recordable incident rate.

“I want to personally thank everyone in our Charlotte office who worked so hard to keep themselves and each other focused on safety so every individual could go home to their families at the end of each day,” said Rick Provost, Rosendin Division Manager. “Reaching this milestone is an incredible accomplishment anytime, but it was especially impressive during the pandemic and I sincerely appreciate everyone’s efforts.”

Attention to safe practices in Rosendin’s Charlotte office reflected the national contracting company’s dedication to safety throughout the year. In 2020, Rosendin logged over 11.8 million work hours and recorded just 51 incidents that resulted in just 2 lost days for a total recordable incident rate of 0.86 and a lost day case rate of 0.03.

In 2020, the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) awarded Rosendin with 12 Safety Achievement Awards for having excellent health and safety programs and injury/fatality rates lower than the industry standard. Rosendin was also recognized at a dozen regional offices for zero injuries or high levels of safety performance.

“At Rosendin, safety is a value and we take our brothers and sister’s safety very seriously, so we have developed a powerful culture of safety that is engrained in everything we do,” said Marty Rouse, Vice President of Safety. “With over 90 Safety Professionals we are committed to training employees, providing oversight on every job site, and developing innovative solutions that eliminate risk.”

Rosendin’s commitment to safety through meaningful action and permanent solutions is rooted in its core values: “We Care. We Share. We Listen. We Innovate. We Excel.” The electrical contracting company promotes a diverse and inclusive workforce for skilled and unskilled workers interested in construction, engineering, technology, office management, and other career paths.
