Rosendin Donates $50,000 in Continued Support of Chief Warrant Officers Association During STACK Infrastructure’s Heroes of The Sea Salmon Derby

Annual event benefits the Pacific Northwest Chief Warrant Officers Association – U.S. Coast Guard

Astoria, OR (August 18, 2021)Rosendin, the nation’s largest employee-owned electrical contracting company, is humbled by the opportunity to support STACK Infrastructure in what they do for the community through the Heroes of The Sea Salmon Derby, an annual two-day charity event raising hundreds of thousands of dollars in support of the Chief Warrant Officers Association’s tireless efforts. The event was held in the Cannery Pier Hotel in Astoria, Oregon, on August 12th and 13th, on the Columbia River and raised over $235,000 for the non-profit association.

The Chief Warrant Officer’s Association (CWOA) represents and supports over 2,500 active, reserve and retired United States Coast Guard warrant and chief warrant officers and their families. The Pacific Northwest Chapter and its members patrol the coasts and protect Oregon’s trans-Pacific subsea cables, a critical element for data centers. That is why Rosendin was the event’s sponsor for the fourth consecutive year, donating $50,000 to benefit the association. This year’s donation brings Rosendin’s contributions to nearly $150,000 since 2017.

“STACK proudly supports the selfless and dedicated work of the U.S. Coast Guard. Each year, STACK gathers industry partners to thank these brave individuals for their contributions through generous donations and outdoor adventure,” said Brian Cox, STACK Infrastructure’s CEO. “STACK and the data center sector rely on the protection and ever vigilant eye of the U.S. Coast Guard to the mission-critical trans-Pacific subsea cable system. The Heroes of the Sea Salmon Derby is our way of showing appreciation for the tireless work of the U.S. Coast Guard.”

“We at Rosendin value STACK’s invitation to join forces and give back to the U.S. Coast Guard,” said Brett Strohlein, Rosendin’s NW Region Mission Critical Market Lead.

This year, the Heroes of the Sea Salmon Derby had 16 boats and, along with Rosendin, sponsors included Holder Construction, Gibson, Apollo, Thorne, KHS&S Contractors, Southland, Modius, Caterpillar, IES Communications, and many more.

One of the highlights of the event was the August 12th Charity Dinner at the Cannery Pier’s Red Building, where countless donations were collected for the CWOA. As it happens every year, the charity dinner was attended by local “Coasties”, who were recognized for their selfless and dedicated service both on and off land.

“Caring for our community is a paramount element of Rosendin,” said Matt Englert, Rosendin’s Chief Operating Officer. “We can’t wait for many more years of continued support for the Heroes of the Sea Salmon Derby.”

Rosendin is the nation’s leading design-build electrical construction company developing secure, energy-efficient data centers with reliable electrical power and communications solutions.
