Rosendin is a union electrical contractor that hires electricians through the IBEW (http://www.ibew.org/). Membership is optional in most locations.

Being a part of a union guarantees wages and raises without you having to negotiate with your employer directly. Additionally, your health care and retirement benefits are paid for through the union which means you keep more of your weekly paycheck.
