Western Antelope Blue Sky Ranch "A"

Antelope Valley Desert, CA
Solar Power
20 MW

A turnkey utility grade solar farm, located on a very remote site in the Antelope Valley desert in northern Los Angeles County. Constructed on a fast-track schedule, on 145 acres of abandoned farmland, this 20 MW solar farm included a 20 MW substation that was designed with the capacity to be expanded to 90 Mw, AC/DC Collection, and 66kV substation.

Rosendin’s scope of work also included construction of electric power lines from the solar farm substation to the main utility transmission line, located one mile away. There were close to 78,500 solar panel modules assembled, installed, and supported by a single-axis tracking system using Chinese technology.
