A 112 unit, 16 story high-rise building built on the side of San Bruno Mountain in South San Francisco. At time of completion, the 178’ building was the tallest residential building in the city. The job was a design-build project for Rosendin Electric, including the smoke control, security, and communications systems. The building consists of a 112,000 square foot 5-story parking structure with 11 stories of residential space totaling 156,000 square feet. Common spaces within the building include a main lobby, social room, exercise room, and garden plaza. Included in the electrical design was one 2500A 120/208 service and bus duct riser for the condo units. A second 2000A 277/480V service was used for the garage lighting, elevators, and fire pump. Due to limited site conditions the 400kW emergency generator was placed in the parking garage on the 4th floor.
I think back on two SES replacements that you did with no service interruptions and chiller replacements that took lot of coordination on your part to prevent loss of cooling. I appreciate your honest and open sharing of electrical knowledge as a resource to me because that makes my job more manageable. I also appreciate being able to call you at the first sign of trouble and know we will get an immediate response to any issue.
