The scope of this project was to convert the main Transport Plaza into a new, outdoor multi-use convention area and meeting place.
The Anaheim Convention Center Grand Plaza is a pedestrian mall that includes 3 water features and a 600’ long “River of Light”. The River contains more than 300 LED lights, from the in-grade and fountain luminaires to the pedestrian poles, the linear lighting integrated under the benches that flank the plaza, to the floodlights that provide ambience. Managed by a DMX controller, the River of Light can also be programmed with custom lighting designs. The entire installation, covering over 150,000 square feet, is lit with less than 16,000 watts of light, or just over 0.1 watts per square foot.
In addition, the Grand Plaza is now equipped with power outlets ranging from 20A to 100A for vendors to set up sales booths, outdoor exhibits, etc.
