Rosendin was selected as the electrical contractor for the construction of Buildings 2 & 3 at CyrusOne’s Northern Virginia Sterling data center campus. Buildings 2 & 3 are known as Project Goliath. These facilities total 220,000 SF and set a new construction speed record, being constructed in 26 weeks. The project included the installation of (20) 2500 kW generators, (20) exterior walk-in switchgear/UPS containers containing (40) 750VKA UPS’s, and (120) 375KVA STS/PDUs.
Project Goliath was constructed in less than six months, the shortest known time to completion ever achieved by CyrusOne for an enterprise-scale data center of its size. The 180-day build time shattered all known industry construction records. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IAnIk69PJvY

“I can’t say enough about the entire team that worked on the project. This includes the architect and engineering team, general contractors, third-party consultants, structural and civil engineers, and local contractors in Northern Virginia who all pulled together to manage and execute this project. A project like this runs 24/7 for the entire duration, and it was incredible to watch everyone working together in a collaborative, cohesive effort to meet the project requirements and finish the facility within the established six-month time frame.”
