Pay/Overtime

How much do you pay?

Pay is determined by many variables, including but not limited to location, classification, and experience level.

Do you have overtime opportunities?

Many jobs will have overtime opportunities, but it is job specific, and not all jobs will offer overtime.

Will I have to join a union?

Rosendin is a union electrical contractor that hires electricians through the IBEW (http://www.ibew.org/). Membership is optional in most locations.

Some non-union shops offer comparable pay, why should I go union?

Being a part of a union guarantees wages and raises without you having to negotiate with your employer directly. Additionally, your health care and retirement benefits are paid for through the union which means you keep more of your weekly paycheck.

Will I be required to pay union dues?

Union dues are a small percentage of your weekly paycheck. Those dues go toward the representation you receive as a union member and administrative costs to connect you with contractors and to manage your health and retirement benefits.
