SUMMARY

You will be a key member of our supplier/subcontractor vendor management group.  This team interacts with many areas of our business and is responsible for enrolling and ensuring subcontractor compliance with commercial terms, financial stability, and safety standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

  1. You'll work closely with our Operations Group to identify key subcontractors and suppliers to enroll in the ConstructSecure platform and will help assist our key trade partners with enrollment to complete the process through education and training.

  2. You'll support a company-wide rollout process to all groups affected including Estimating, Purchasing, Operations and Finance through training.

  3. You'll assist in monitoring enrollment and help report key metrics back to the team.

  4. You'll assist with the updating of procedures manuals.

  5. You'll help lead improvements of our Subcontractor Prequalification System; and help  implement remedial plans and monitor performance for at-risk subcontractors.

  6. You'll roll up your sleeves and help with resolving any subcontractor issues; and making sure there is transparency in our process.

  7. You'll provide material reviews, supplier reviews and corrective action reviews, as well as, be involved with process improvement teams, audits, and customer visits and strategy discussions.

  8. You'll review and audit key suppliers/subcontractors to ensure continued compliance and offer improvement ideas/assistance to help these identified team members continue to elevate their performance.

  9. You'll be a true partner to our business and solicit feedback from Suppliers/Subcontractors in areas where Rosendin can improve.

  10. The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the position’s role within the business unit.

  EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or construction management is ideal or can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience
  • Experience supporting a team in an admin or project assistant role is preferred
  • Experience or knowledge of operations, finance or purchasing is nice to have

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Must have good written and oral communication skills since you'll be working with internal teams and external clients and vendors.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with strong follow up, organization and prioritization skills and an excellent attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills for the collecting of business process information and working with others in a positive and collaborative manner
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary
  • Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
  • Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position
  • Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others

  TRAVEL:

  • 20% 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning
  • Noise level is usually low to medium
  • Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
